Jaroslaw Rzepecki, PhD, is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Monumo, where he leads the company's technology development, oversees hardware and software development pipelines, and directs its machine learning (ML) research. Before obtaining a PhD in Astrophysics from Heidelberg University, Jaroslaw studied theoretical physics at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
Jaroslaw’s professional career began in the video game industry, where he contributed to various projects, including the BAFTA-winning game Race Driver: Grid. Most recently, before joining Monumo, Jaroslaw held a senior research engineering position at Microsoft Research, focusing on ML applications for developing human-like behavior in artificial agents. Over the years, he has also held senior engineering roles at Siemens and Arm.
Jaroslaw’s professional interests revolve around data science, software engineering, and interdisciplinary research. Additionally, he is a long-time martial arts practitioner and a supporter of animal welfare.
