This presentation reflects the central challenge in the development of modern battery technologies. It is crucial to find innovative approaches to increase energy density so that electric vehicles can cover longer distances on a single charge. At the same time, charging times must be reduced to improve user-friendliness and promote the acceptance of electric vehicles. Another important aspect is the lifespan of the batteries, as longer life cycles not only lower costs for consumers but also reduce environmental impact. Through interdisciplinary research and technological advancements, we can significantly enhance the efficiency and sustainability of traction batteries, ultimately leading to a more environmentally friendly mobility.
